It looks like one or more of the questions you answered may not be a good fit for shockwave treatments. You are welcome to call the office and speak to our staff about it.
Here are some common things that may have caused this message and a few possible solutions:
- Pace maker: It's recommended to not treat someone with a pacemaker. That said if the patient agrees to proceed it is possible to treat someone with a pacemaker if the treatment area is far away from the pacemaker. For example a foot, ankle or knee.
- Cancer / tumor:Â We would never want to treat on or around cancer or a tumor.
- Skin Infection: We would never want to treat over an active infection. If you have an infection in the foot we can usually safely treat an upper extremity for example. Like an elbow or shoulder.
- Pregnant:Â I'm sorry but it's best to not treat while you're pregnant.
- Steroid shots:Â If you have recently received a steroid shot the treatment may not be effective because they are working against one another.
Disclaimer: Shockwave treatments have a high rate of success. This also means they have a low failure rate. Parker Natural Health can not guarantee results even though the odds are in your favor.
